During his career of over 20 years, Robert Fries has developed software for companies such as Locus Computing Corporation, Veritas Software, Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, TRW Financial Systems, Lucent Technologies, and many others.  Robert was a founding member and Chief Architect at Pario Software, which was later acquired by Lucent Technologies, and whose product line became the core of Lucent's Radius and AAA product offerings.  Robert later managed Lucent's Radius development group.  Robert also created the technology behind two successful on-line stock footage libraries, GotFootage.Com and GotFootageHD.Com.  At WGN, Robert is responsible for software architecture of WGN GSF and drives the development of glueware to enable greater access to the ZigBee network.

Pete McCabe is an entrepreneur and legal and business consultant.  In addition to his work with WGN, Pete regularly consults for Redwood Trust, Inc. (NYSE:  RWT) and a number of start-up clients.  Pete was previously an executive with Tiburon, Inc., a provider of enterprise software solutions to public safety agencies in the United States and abroad, and Engenio Information Technologies, Inc. a network storage solutions provider.  From 1995 to 2004, Pete was a corporate and securities attorney with the international law firms of Latham & Watkins and Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, representing public andprivatecorporations, investment banking firms and private equity firms, respect to domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, public and private equity offerings and joint development and licensing arrangements.  His clients included Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), Chevron, Safeway, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Kendall-Jackson, Bear Stearns and Thomas Weisel Capital Partners.  Prior to law school, Pete was an accountant with Chevron. Pete has a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and a B.S. in Finance from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo.

Norikazu has 7 years experience in low-power wireless in the Japanese market.  Prior to WGN, he was responsible in TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd. for testing of protocol stack and profile applications for both 
Bluetooth and ZigBee, and hence brings detailed understanding of customer needs in the Japanese market.   In the ZigBee SIG-J, he has contributed as the sub-leader of Compliance Working Group. Previously, he has worked in Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd R&D center for development of image processors, and also was involved in Bluetooth protocol stack and middleware development.  He holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from Chiba University.
